Does anyone have specific knowledge of a model of a 15 mm African cape buffalo?

Only item I know of is the Grumpy water buffalo – which is decidedly south east Asian.

If not, then manufacturers please take note – I'd order three dozen of them if the price was reasonable (not cheap, reasonable). That might help offset the cost.

And, please, not Eureka's 600 club suggestions – I want them before my bones are wind blown dust. No offense to Eureka, lots of nice stuff there – and some of it in my collection.

Must be 15 mm – or close enough to work with 15 mm.

Thanks!

Who sells the water buffalo by Grumpy's? I couldn't find it on either of the Eureka US or Eureka Australia websites. Thanks!

Wow. That's a tough one, EMW!

Perhaps an HO or even 1/72 option?

I checked Irregular's 15mm range.\, but no Cape Buffalo.

Back when Blue Moon released their African explorer and natives range I was hoping for some animal packs, but no cigar (other than the excellent monstrous apes with the Tarzan set).

Skeptic,

Here is the address for East Riding Miniatures, under the Indonesians and Malays:

Scroll down and you can see an image of their buffalo – clearly not a Cape Buffalo. I do have some but I just want something closer to the real thing for my Africa set up.

rvandusen – I haven't given up hope that Blue Moon will, eventually, release some more animal packs. Just keep asking. But I don't really care for the gorilla figures they released – too fantasy oriented for my tastes. I want more zoologically correct.

Thanks, EMW!

Irregular Minis have 15mm African Cattle, which do look like Cape Buffalo.

jeffbird,

Nice of you to resurrect this thread. Who knows, it might lead to someone making what I seek or someone pointing out what I seek.

But, sorry, Irregular's African Cattle look nothing at all, not even close, to Cape Buffalo. They are passable as wildebeest, however, or, as I call them Wildy Beasties. I have a few dozen painted up as such.
