I hope the vast knowledge of TMP readers may be able to help me. I am looking for 18mm Marines of the Guard. The only ones I can see are by Warmodelling, which do not have the Hussar style jackets. Does any one have any suggestions on who may make them or what figures to use instead? Thank you Christian |

I gave up and just used Old Glory greatcoat figures. Boring, yes, but the marines pretty much always wore the blue greatcoat in 1814 anyway, which is what I was painting them for. |

47Ronin Sorry but they are not the Imperial Guard marines but régiments de cannoniers de la marine (4 regiments of them.) They were very good troops indeed! |

They were the marins de la garde – marins means sailors/seaman, not marines as we know them who I think would be termed l'infanterie de la marine. They did duties including working the boats on rivers on campaign. The artillery drawn from the navy were not guard. |
