"Wave 4 Announced" Topic

It's all Lady Luck's fault — just put in my Shapeways order for a bunch of Mel's ships and some of Gosric's. Lady Luck was the headliner for the order.

Mel has finished updating all of his older designs, and the photos have been looking good. Most of the Mel ships I'm getting in WSF, but a sampling in FD, including a flight of 4 Scimitar Bombers that will be the 3rd flight in my bomber squadron.

At some point this year, I might work up a vacuform Wild Kaarde. I just got the heating element to build my own tabletop vacuform machine to use for Star Wars costuming projects. It quickly occurred to me that the Wild Kaarde would lend itself quite nicely to this medium too!

I'm just not a fan of the Defender but the Phantom has grown on me after all. Still not available though which is sad

miniMo please post a pic of all your models on a tabletop… I want to believe!

Frankly, if they ever decide to do a Pulsar Skate/Baudo Class Yacht I hope they go for the original "Manta Ray" look from the WEG games and X-Wing novels rather than the later "bits stuck together at random" look of the comics.
It just looks a lot better.

@DB, sadly I haven't done any painting in the last few months (lots of other gaming projects, notably doing up a bunch of play aids for Dragon Dice). My Shapeways ships are all scrubbed and rinsed and ready for priming.

Maybe sometime this summer I'll find a good opportunity with a very large gaming table where I'll need to finish up the odds and ends to get the whole Imperial Fighter Wing scrambled for action….

MiniMo. If you have success vacuforming the Wild Karde I'd be interested in buying one.

I certainly will let people know when and if I do have success with that!
