Painted some 25 years ago, "old school style" Minifigs; these guys have never made it into a tabletop battle yet, something which my Napoleonic British project should remedy before too long!

The blue is much darker than it appears in the photos. More pictures and a colorful table of the facing colors of the various regiments on my blog at:

It is the flash that lightens the blue. Use available light, use the white balance on any modern digital camera and use a longer exposure, with a cheap little tripod or a beanbag and delayed shutter release. (ie it does not fire immediately as you press the button….the delay means hands are off and no camera shake).

Fond memories of Minifigs……..my carabiniers a cheval…etc

Thanks for the tops, dh. I will try some of them. When possible. I prefer to take [pictures outside in natural lioght. January in New Engl;and makes that a challenge, though! Thanks Brian ans wrgmr1.

Aside from the flags, which I humbly think came out looking great, I would say that they are well off my best work, but presentable.

It surprises m,e how infrequently Portuguese line (as opposed to Cacadores) appear on the table in Peninsular war games (or at least the reports). There was quite a lot of it, and it is very colorful as can be seen above. These fellows will certainly be on the table for the very first Peninsular wargame I do!
