Any one have any info on the long talked about TYW French and other TYW figures addition to their TYW.

Is there any hope that they will release any new TYW figures in the near or very near future.

Hopefully Jon will catch this and respond. If not, just drop him an e-mail with your question.

I emailed Jon more than a year ago regarding this. From what I recall, the Spanish TYW were to be next. This range may have been suspended for the meantime (or complete) b/c of Khurasan not adopting Testudo figures. This is evident by the slightly smaller scale Polish "Winged Hussars."

Too bad, b/c these are the most accurate TYW miniatures in any scale, as far as I know. (But who am I to complain, as I still have several bags I have not gotten around to painting.) But I know what you mean…it is just nice to know the option is there.

The Spanish will be next but they are not on the drawing board yet. Remember my plan was to make models for German Catholic/Imperialist armies in the Thirty Years War, and I think I've done a fair job of that. My plan was not to make all of the armies of the Thirty Years War, which is quite a major job. Spanish are sensible to make next because they were frequently on the field fighting alongside their German Catholic allies. I have already had the heavy cavalry made as a matter of fact (for the Spanish armies in the Spanish Netherlands and Italy, that is, the Italian and other cuirassiers with closed helms they fielded there).

Would love to prioritise the TYW as it's a period I quite like but you gamers vote with your wallets! Renaissance has long been a stepchild period for wargamers, somewhat less popular than the "ancients" period that comes before them or the horse-and-musket period that comes afterwards. I sold over eighty packs of the new War of the Spanish Succession range only about 3 days after releasing them, whereas it took me over a year to sell that much of the Thirty Years War range. Someone said in this thread that he would not buy new TYW codes but it's nice to know they are out there … but that does not help me recoup my investment! grin

Two things have been said here that I'm not sure about. One, that I did not adopt the Testudo range, when in fact I did (it's just taking forever for the new moulds to get made). The other had to do with Polish Winged Hussars. Not sure what that is a reference to, as I don't make any!

Well I have bought some of yours, and would certainly buy more if the range expanded. But I dont believe I can buy enough to justify you expanding just by my self. Bummer.

If I get rich I will do Peter jackson and commision a range from you all on my own!

Hi Jon. I was not certain about the Testudo range (I think I was incorrectly inferring this from another post.) With regards to the Polish Hussars, I meant the 17th. c. Hungarian, which I recall there was a reference to them in the description on your site (sorry about that.)

I am very glad to hear about the continuing of the TYW range. I do not know how many of your clients are from Britain, but I do not think it is a matter of TYW not being of interest, but ECW taking priority. There are LOTS of ECW (and Napoleonic) manufactures out there which do justice to the accuracy in various scales. As I said, there is NO range, at least to my knowledge, which does TYW, at least imperialist correctly as Khurasan, and for that, I thank you (plus I do not need to pay overseas fees;-)

I suppose I need to finish painting up my TYW figures so I can purchase more, thus "voting" for the TYW extension

I think I fall into one of those hobbyist who tend to spread their interest too far into other ranges. I have lots of unpainted figures from lots of manufactures. I think it is fair to say a lot of people express interest in new releases, and yet they do not purchase any…I suppose I am just being honest in my case.

Maybe a Kickstarter campaign is in order! Or, at least, some sort of solicitation to put our money where our mouth is.

Ilodic04 Feb 2014 5:41 p.m. PST

In response to the inquiry about TYW French, I do not think it would be as difficult to find accurate figures for that period. Quite a few ECW figures could fit that, especially if you are speaking of the later TYW or French/Spanish period.

A Kickstarter campaign sounds like a good idea. It has worked well for the 'Fife and Drum Miniatures' company.

I would love to see a kick starter or indeggo campaign, I think that would be a win win for every one, if there is enough intrest then Khursan will get enough money to do it and we gamers win.

I have a bunch of the German TYW and they are fantastic.

Thanks for the info.

Add one member anxiously awaiting the TYW Spanish!

And, on a sooner note, the Incas and subjects…

khurasanminiatures09 Feb 2014 5:55 p.m. PST

Inca are ready to go, just waiting for the paintups.
