Since I play both these games (and IABSM) I wanted to have something to represent Shock and Pinned Tokens without dice (I'm not a fan of dice on the table.)

I've made 3 different versions with various "Effects" on them to differentiate between a unit just having "Shock Points" or "Pinned with Shock" or "Suppressed with Shock" Bolt Action just requires a number of Pinned markers which are easily represented with dice which is fine for "normal" people but I'm just a little weird about such things.

The dials are from the heroclix collection which I bought a ton of at a garage sale last summer. The local Dollar Store also had a bunch reduced. The kids ended up with the mounted characters which worked out well for everone involved.

BTW this is not my own idea I did stumble on this some time back and thought it an excellent idea

Great idea – much better than dice or tokens

I agree. Dice, tokens, etc. really ruin the look of a game for me. Great job.

Thanks guys. I have to say I much prefer the look on the table…but I realize for some people its probably a silly thing to worry about

I'd like to thank whoever came up with the original idea but I've no idea where I first noticed it :)

You're such a show-off ;)

Always cool looking at your tables, troops, and assorted sundry items such as these.

Jack

LoL…of course I am! But I spend my gaming time making silly things like these and not getting any real gaming in…Your just firing on all fronts with games galore!

Grey Panda, these are great….I like the bullet splash marker especially.

Thanks to jacksarge also for that link above (been wondering where I could get wagons and yard scatter suitable for 20mm).

Where can we buy the dials form in Australia????

UshCha06 Feb 2014 12:23 a.m. PST

WOW that a good one! We use litco Flame and smoke markers for our game MG, Since then we moved to our own similar but artisticaly better (well cheaper and smaller) ;-) 3D printed type. Hoiwever this has a lot of potential if I can find the dials cheap. I wounder If I could print a set of Dials? ;-)
