Finally I say:

victrixlimited.com

Hidden between all this ancient goodness some Tommies made it into the news!
Early stages but promising.
(Entrenching tool needs changing and the respirator box should may be moved to chest … But hey, it's a start!)
Very exciting :-)

Cheers

At last a company has seen a good opportunity and are going to produce 28mm plastic WW1.
I look forward to seeing what they do. They say British, Germans and French to start.
I think WW1 may turn into quite a popular period to game over the next couple of years, which is a good thing because people will look into the history of this terrible war. Lest we forget.

Cheers

Chris

Great news!!!!

dandandan31 Jan 2014 7:17 a.m. PST

I was more interested in the 15mm teaser. 15mm plastics?

I was hoping for early war, but it makes sense to go with the later war look

Mick in Switzerland31 Jan 2014 7:38 a.m. PST

I think this is a very good idea as we come to the 100th anniversary.

jakethedog31 Jan 2014 8:00 a.m. PST

Sweet. Finally the Great War gets some love, really enjoyed playing the old "Great War" rules from Warhammer

(also if they include gas masks, cheap 40k players will go ballistic over the thought of cheap DK)

Simcoe 200031 Jan 2014 8:09 a.m. PST

Ripping good news!

Patrick R31 Jan 2014 8:30 a.m. PST

I am curious to know who else will reveal their WWI plastic range …

Lt Col Pedant31 Jan 2014 8:35 a.m. PST

Nicely sculpted figures. But they don't have a '14-'18 feel about them, to me. They LOOK too modern. Anybody else feel this way about them?

HammerHead31 Jan 2014 8:45 a.m. PST

I would vote for a box of Russian infantry, then after that some Turks………how about it??

WarWizard31 Jan 2014 9:20 a.m. PST

Excellent! Jolly good show.

bruntonboy31 Jan 2014 9:48 a.m. PST

15mm aeroplanes? Anybody any other ideas?

Timmo uk31 Jan 2014 10:21 a.m. PST

Well as they are saying 'chocks away' in their press release it does suggest planes. Now if these are WW1 15mm planes I think they've missed a massive opportunity to get in on the 1/144 act. I really like 15mm biplanes, it's a perfect size for them, but so many of us have bought into 1/144 with WoW/G models that I won't change scales now and think they will have an uphill battle to convince others to as well. They'll have to offer an amazing range of decals as well to convince people that assembling bi-planes is worth it over buying ready to play WoW/G. They might be really cute models though in 1/100 scale.

Then again it might be jets, or WW2 not planes at all, who knows.

Intrigued to know more though.

Great news and they look superb, poses are fin some minor equipment issues as already been noted above and there are a couple of items missing! I just hope they expand the series to cover early WW1!

GR C1731 Jan 2014 3:24 p.m. PST

I'm with you Jarrows Lake, but they are just the 3D renders so we'll have to wait and see. It is good to see them though, always nice to have choices.

McWong7331 Jan 2014 3:24 p.m. PST

Got an entire company from Renegade, but I'm keen in Germans and French especially.

altfritz31 Jan 2014 3:30 p.m. PST

Why can't they get the heads right?

Bellbottom31 Jan 2014 3:33 p.m. PST

Just interested Jarrows Lake, is that a play on words? and should it not read Jarrow Slake, or as we in Tyneside say, ' Jarra Slacks'?

jgawne31 Jan 2014 4:39 p.m. PST

bayonet looks to short, and as I recall the P08 e tool handle was strapped next to the bayonet and NOT hung on the e tool cover as you find in P37 gear.

for shame.

Suetonius Paullinus01 Feb 2014 3:51 a.m. PST

The bayonet/ entrenching tool issues have been acknowledged and will be changed for the next picture.
Early days..but I really do hope they get this right!
If required I'd even donate an Osprey book for the sculptor if he hasn't got any source on WWI uniforms.
I so want this range to be a commercial success (we might get releases for early war, eastern front, Africa, Gallipoli, etc at some stage as well..!)

Cheers

Look OK but again, I don't quite think they have the look of WW1 Tommies. I can't quite put my finger on what's odd about them though, perhaps the tunic bottoms seem to have disappeared on some of the figures or it might be the sculpted folds in the cloth are overdone making them look like they have baggy nylon trousers!

PTCohn01 Feb 2014 6:27 a.m. PST

Other than the equipment issues, I think they look fine. I'm much more interested in the later part of the war.

Cerdic01 Feb 2014 6:53 a.m. PST

As others have noted, there is something not quite right about these figures. I think it may be the jackets. The First World War jacket seems a bit more baggy…..

Jim10001 Feb 2014 12:39 p.m. PST

early war Germans would be good

Lt Col Pedant01 Feb 2014 2:33 p.m. PST

@ Jarrovian: It is a play on words. Ah'm just up the road from Jarra Slack. But what do you think of these figures?

Bellbottom01 Feb 2014 5:48 p.m. PST

I think they're excellent, seeing as I have them in my hand now. ( I just don't think I'll be able to do them jusice as above).
Now I just want him to do early war 1940 Brits, (with all the bells and whistles), or perhaps French (a mixed box perhaps, say, 12 cavalry + 12 dismounted, 60 infantry, and 12 each of various colonial troops).
By the way, I too am just 'up the road'

Bellbottom01 Feb 2014 5:55 p.m. PST

@ Jarrows Lake. My mistake, It's gone midnight, been a long day,and I'm confusing this one with the PSC 15mm Late War Brits thread by Piers Brand below.
I do like the figures, but think they'd be better off starting with some trench raiders alongside the basic trench bods, to encourage skirmish type games. These would boost interest in the period for minimal outlay.

Etranger02 Feb 2014 6:27 p.m. PST

The tunic looks a bit short & too close fitting IMHO.

Ceterman03 Feb 2014 4:04 p.m. PST

Oh, Hell Yes!!!!

Supercilius Maximus04 Feb 2014 12:22 p.m. PST

As others have said, it's the tunics that aren't quite right.

Ceterman04 Feb 2014 8:34 p.m. PST

Let's just hope that they make the corrections before they are released. I'm sure they will…

Porkmann06 Feb 2014 7:41 a.m. PST

Will they be available for the Tannenberg centenary?

FranciscoJosePalacios06 Feb 2014 8:07 a.m. PST

Great Notice, First World War in plastic at 28mm, and perfect for the year new, the fisrt centenary on the Great War

Personal logo Inari7 Supporting Member of TMP09 Feb 2014 11:21 a.m. PST

When will these come out?

rxpjks114 Feb 2014 5:59 p.m. PST

Early war Germans and British would be awesome.
