In this episode Mike and I discuss a lot about various happenings in the hobby. This issue includes a review of two books: Henchmen of Ares, and Vikings, Saxons and Celts. We continue our discussion with a brief discussion of how GW's stock debacle may allow for a resurgence of Historical Wargames via third parties and if there will be a net positive effect on the hobby. We also take some time to review Issue 70 of Wargames, Soldiers and Strategy and cover some of the content that jumped out at us. In the last segment, I pry some information out of Mike Garner regarding the upcoming re-release of Free Fire Zone, a 15mm Vietnam Wargame, which is now owned and himself and Henry Tremblay. There is a lot of content. As Always we hope you enjoy the show.

Great Podcast – enjoyed it.

Very interested in the Free Fire Zone. I appreciate that much will need to be kept under wraps but wondered if you could confirm:

Are they true company rules or as is often the case a Platoon sized game marketed as a Company set?

Are the IGO-UGO or more reactive/interactive?

Single based figures?

Fire/control etc at squad level rather than individuals doing their own thing?

Will they be available in the UK?

Many thanks

Hello Everyone,
Thanks for listening. I do want to correct something that I said on Episode 18 regarding Jasper Oorthuys and Josho Brouwers. Jasper is the Chief Editor of Karwansaray Publishers and Josho is the Editor of Ancient Warfare Magazine. Sorry about the confusion that this may have caused. But I guarantee they are both great guys. We strive continually to retain our marginal professionalism. -Thanks, Pat.
