I have finally had time to sit down and start to paint the 15mm versions of the Puma, S'orhan, and the Armored Command Truck. I'm trying different techniques with each, and here's where we are so far with 2 of them.

For the ACT I have so far just put down basic paint and a little ink. I had been waiting for some custom decals, but they are apparently not coming. so, next step is detailing, clean up, and weathering.

For the Puma and S'orhan I broke out my oooooold Pache airbrush. It has been a long while since it saw use, but I think the shading turned out well on the Puma. Went straight to ink, no filter. Again, was waiting for decals, but now proceeding to weathering!

The S'orhan is still drying after the application of a red filter. The base and shadowing came out too brown for what I was aiming for, and I had to use some oil paints to hopefully get it right. More pix as we proceed!

Note, the Blue Moon figure is there for scaling purposes (love that line!)

I like what you have done to the Puma thus far, what decals where you going to use? i assume they were custom, care to share the artwork with us. I cant wait to get my paws onto the S'orhan model and if theirs any gamers reading this interested in the Ventauran's i found a useful TO&E listings for a Star Legion force which includes a uniform and vehicle color scheme.:) zac

Indeed Redroom, I want to use it as a command post for the Policía Técnica using Khurasan's control battalion troops.

Lol Jason, you're killing me!
TK, I think it'd work quite well with the CB dudes. I need to paint my batch up one of these days…

Also working gluing odds and ends to an ACT to make it all post-apoc looking. The paint job for that one will be faaaaaaabulous!

Those Gravs are very cool and would easily work in Space Opera or more hard sci-fi settings.

Like those 'fliers' – I could see myself painting those someday.

I'd like to see that dwartist. I often wonder what magic you could work on models with more open area!

Even in an unfinished state they look superb.

I look forward to seeing them finished.

Looking real sharp! I am itching to get ahold of the S'orhan and apply some assorted camp specs I'm fond of:

Depending upon how the rear of the S'horan is arranged, I may also see a use for several as Warhounds in Silent Death: The NExt Millennium…evil grin

Lfsneeney, the Puma, ACT and S'orhan are all up for preorder at link
Even have them in 6mm (well, not the ACT) for those big battles!

I was finally able to get a little airbrush time in between freezes (my compressor is bolted to the garage floor) and finish up a S'orhan. I painted another (a miscast) using a very very basic brush technique, and the difference is staggering. They both look good to me though.
And here they be:

the pair:

The red filter I applied to the sprayed model didn't do as much as I hoped it would. I really wanted something a little more red-orange, rather than brownish. Started with the wrong colors, really. But live and learn!

You know Leeland, I might experiment with some wave pattern camo next. That might look really good on these with all of the open space they have!

Micropanzer09 Feb 2014 12:29 p.m. PST

I like those a lot need to get some

Armiesarmy09 Feb 2014 2:13 p.m. PST

Anarchy models have an airbrush template out on sale with lots of designs like scale armor, hexes, digital camo etc they would look superb on these very smooth and excellent models !
