"Welcome, traveler, to The Cloak & Blaster!"

"Several years ago, over a particularly violent game of Munchkin, Markus and Andrea (now married) started talking about their love for gaming and beer. The idea came about for a place that incorporated great craft brews, ample space for gaming, and a sweet tavern atmosphere to really get the geek juices flowing. How cool would it be to transport yourself to Middle Earth for pints in ceramic steins? The idea was talked about convention after convention and remained as this "What if, one day …" idea."

This looks like it's going to be an Awesome place. Board games, Rpgs, Cosplay. They say they're open to all kinds of gaming. So I'll be looking forward to some X-Wing and beer. Games, friends and beer. what more could one ask for. And the best part it's only 15min from me in Orland.

Looks like it's going to be a popular spot too. They were able to get fully funded in Kickstarter in only 36hrs. And more than doubled it in 30days.

Should be a 2 drink minimum and no sweat pants.

I am okay with sweat pants, but a shower and deodorant should be mandatory.

I keep thinking that game stores should convert into pizza parlors.

I haven't seen an opening date yet but when I do I will definitely post it. I am so looking forward to this. Just not sure how they are going to dole out table time. I'm thinking you rent a table for a few hours and the game you want to play. Or bring your own game. Very interesting business model.

Any body in the Central Florida area? We might be able to start a gaming group of some kind.

In Orlando C&B is located off of Orange Ave. Just pass the Sr408 across from Lucern Hospital. They have a map posted on their Facebook page. Closer to me than SciFi City.

And, in Seattle there is the Raygun Lounge:

I have walked by Raygun – spacious place (they also have a beer/wine license IIRC)

Cafe Mox is in Ballard in Seattle. Serves food and has a full bar. Sells board games, paint, popular RPG and scifi/fantasy games. They have private rooms to rent or free tables to play on in the public area. It is more of a RPG, board game, scifi/fantasy vibe but I don't think you'd get beat up if you showed up with historicals.

I haven't been there since last spring so apologize if any info is out of date.
