Anyone know if there is a manufacturer that sells the plastic joiners from the x-wing maneuver dial (or something similar)?

I'd like to find some for a personal project.

Have you tried FFG to see if they can sell them to you as a spare part? Otherwise, the only thing I can thing of would be in metal – a Chicago screw, or perhaps a cap rivet.

I can get them. I have some that work with our dials but those are a bit too thick. I think I can get then one size smaller. Similar but not the same thing.

There has to be some piece of packaging off a household product which would do the same sort of job.

Aren't they just plastic rivets?
Try a craft store, scrap bookers use them for some reason.

Old school would be those old brass button head fasteners (the things with the prongs you fold flat on the underside), but you could also probably use 2-part metal snap buttons (like you find on coats & jackets. Craft or fabric stores should carry a variety of sizes & styles.) I'm assuming you haven't made the holes in your project yet, or that the parts to be joined aren't too thick…. ;-)

I'm also trying to put together some custom maneuver dials.

I found these:

If anyone tries them out, let me know how it works out.
