I played a game in the Warhammer Fantasy world, in a series of games involving Dwarf Wars. My table is not anything outstanding, but it was a fun game. I had bought the Dwarven Forge tunnels about 10 years ago or so, and painted up another set of tunnels to match them (somewhat). But this is the very first game I have played using them. I finally knocked off the dust off the boxes and played a game. My next Dwarf game will be using the Scotial Grendel dwarf castle that I painted up a few years ago…which will definitely be a better looking game table.

I have not posted all the pics yet, but will update the page later tonight. The big battle pictures are not posted, just mainly the first mission and opening battle in the first underground chamber.

Great pics of what looks like a really fun game! Looking forward to seeing what happens. Did you play this solo?

Looks great! Don't wait another 10 years to get that cool terrain on the table again!

Thanks! Yes I played a solo game…still a lot of fun. I usually mix up some house rules along with other borrowed rule ideas. I think it was the smallest game I have played to date.

I'm glad to see that some folks out there are using Dwarf Wars, as underrated a set of fantasy rules as there ever was one…

Looks great

I'm confused… Are you using West Winds Dwarf Wars to play in the Warhammer world or are you playing warhammer?
Using info from 1990 Dwarf Wars by GW?

Nice pics by the way. looks great.

I've always wanted to do a big under ground war like Metagaming's Lords of the Underearth or Task Force's Valkenburg Castle.

Looks great.

Thank you!

I was using the idea from Warhammer, just mostly made up. I just read the history in the Warhammer Dwarf army book and got the idea. When I referred to Dwarf Wars, I wasn't referring to anything specific, mainly just dwarf wars in general, in the warhammer world, etc. It was my first game using any warhammer scenario…I am a rookie.
