So a discussion on facebook prompted an idea. I'm investigating the possibility of a providing accessories to convert Wings of War/glory to something closer to the X-wing system. So dials with movement types and a templates of some sort. I initially thought about an x-wing style of template arcs but maybe a card sized acrylic token with several etched patterns on it. Might need a few of them. Again it's still forming in my head but the big question is
How many possible movement combinations are there and do the various planes have different ones? I might be able to just simplify it to a few generic ones but I have no clue and don't want to run down this road too far without an idea if it I can work with the system. So if anyone has more experience with this game and maybe some resources for the card types then that would be great! Thanks Jonathan Bowen CorSec Engineering |

Given that you plan multiple cards ahead, it could be tough. X wing is fine but it is a dumbed down wings of glory system |

Thats kind of the point. To give the option to dumb it down or allow people to just buy several dials if they want. I might do a multi dial or something as well. Still kicking the idea around but I really only have a basic knowledge of the game and don't want to do all the research if the movement system is too complex to work with. |

Each plane has a movement deck and there are many arc variations. I think there may be as many as 20 (if not more) movement decks. Some would have similar arcs and movement, but there would be a variety of lengths to those arcs. I'm sure there's a commonality, but the number of arcs would more numerous than what comes with X-Wing |

To give the option to dumb it down You would be better off mapping Dials to Maneuver Decks A Decks are Tie Fighters, B Decks are X Wings Something like that. |

Wings of Glory WWII has two different possibles on each card x18 cards on average one depending on if you are going fast or slow. Also you plan more than one ahead (3 for WWI) so it would be very hard to cover all possibilities. You could use one dial ala Xwing but it would alter the game a lot. If you wanted it would be better to do with WWII version as you could get away with a one plot system. You'd probably want to stick to an theatre and get away with4 dials maybe. |

so it would be very hard to cover all possibilities I gathered the idea was to play "X Wing with planes" not copy the nuances of Wings of Glory. |
