Hey All, Just finished some Old Glory French Line infantry painted up to resemble a unit right in the middle of a strenuous campaign. They are all pre-Bardin so are perfect for some gritty work in Spain or a bloody triumph along the Danube.
I have found that though the sculpts are not as exacting as the wonderful ABs from Eureka they are just as time consuming as there is a heap of detail. Any comments and critiques welcome. link Happy Gaming, Kurt. expressminiatures@gmail.com |

Hi Kurt Nice work but I've noticed the Company on the right as you look at them that they have Grenadier 'wings'/ epaulettes but their pom poms are yellow(?). If they are Voltiguers then the 'Wings' / epaulettes should be either Green (trimmed yellow) or Yellow (trimmed green). Cheers Scott |

Much appreciated Scott. Thank you. A sympton of the dreaded Red – green colour blindness and an old osprey methinks. |

I like Old Glory. They can be a little rough, but the detail is there and some of the poses are excellent for building a unit that looks as if its struggling into battle rather than being on parade. In fact I've just ordered more OG Austrians from Timecast. |

Isn't it well documented that pre 1812 red was one of the three colors the Voltiguers used in their epaulettes? Usually it was a red cresent but there was some regiments with this combination- can't reach my ref books at the moment
Keep up the good work Xpress Miniatures! MG |

Hi MG might be correct. Red trimmed with yellow. However I thought that was the Carabineers in the Light Infantry Battalions \ Regiments. Cheers Scott |

The OG line in campaign dress make particularly good Peninsular infantry. Sadly the last batch I bought is really starting to suffer from mold deterioration. |
