Ok, to begin with, let me say I am not a big orange juice drinker. So, it came as a surprise to me, when I was browsing the drink aisle at a convenience store while travelling over the holidays, that Tropicana had these cool arched design lids on their drinks. When I saw it, it immediately said Elvish architecture to me; and was a perfect size to go with my 10mm Fantasy minis. So, I bought one to bring home and work on, and I finally completed it this past week.

Well done, a good find and idea!

elsyrsyn15 Jan 2014 11:18 a.m. PST

Clever! I do believe I'm gonna swipe that idea for 6mm miniatures!

Well done! I've been saving a bunch of those, without really knowing what to use then for.

That is bloomin' brilliant.

SJDonovan15 Jan 2014 3:35 p.m. PST

Agreed. Bloomin' brilliant.

I've been saving some as well, they just beg to be used for something.
I've been thinking I'll add some domes (halved eggs/balls) to them and use them as dwellings for small 15mm ailens.
I may also stack some of them to create a "Leaning Tower of Pisa" effect (sans leaning of course).

Tropical elves.

That type of lid also works rather well for tables with 28mm

Smokey Roan15 Jan 2014 5:54 p.m. PST

VERY GOOD!

Although, Natalie's Orchid Island Juice is a far superior OJ :(

It also makes a nice mosque.

Wow, did not see that coming from the source object. Nicely done.

Thank you all for the kind remarks! And it was good to read other folks' ideas for what to use them for. I feel I may be drinking a lot of orange juice in the future. :)

They could even work for Epic Eldar

Glenn M16 Jan 2014 10:11 a.m. PST

This is pretty awesome, well done.

Hmmmm – I wonder how hard it would be to carve out the arches? There's probably a lot of material inside the cap that would have to go. Probably better just to paint them as you've done.

Would look good on top of a tower as well…I'm suddenly thirsty for orange juice.

Bought some Dole juices (nearly identical caps) yesterday. Can't wait 'til they're gone!
