I'm a huge fan and collector of Heritage and Ral Partha from way back. I'm finally ready to pull the trigger on getting painting done on my Heritage LOTR and Knights and Magick minis
and there are LOTS of them. There are probably 2,000 minis needing attention. I don't need them immediately but I'd like to get someone hooked in who can churn some kind of steady output. As the title indicates, I'm seeking to keep this work in the US
time to reward those who have stayed open through the past several tough years. The style I'm looking for is exemplified by the following image
I'm also highly inspired by Spooktalker's work
link He definitely knows how to bring the best out of old school sculpts and I was super disappointed I couldn't talk him into taking the work (he's "retired" and focusing on his own personal stuff, the bum). In any event, I'm open to anyone who likes the old stuff and is ready to make mine look their best. Thanks in advance! |

I can do it. I think that I even painted something from that range before. Email me igwarg@netzero.net and I will send you photos of what I have. It will be fun! |

I'll reccommend IGWARG1's work. He's done some SYW figures for me and done a nice job. IGWARG1, don't hesitate to use pictures of my stuff to show folks. Nice work. Dan |

Wow, I wish I wasn't so busy or I'd do them. I love the range (Heritage LOTR). I own a load of them and the Custom cast fantasy figs. Been painting them since they first came out. I absolutely love to paint them. It is hands down my favorite LOTR fantasy range. The figs are first rate. My original army was Rohan with some Dwarves. I had over a 100 Rohan cavalry. Lately I have been building up my Orcs. Congratulations on owning such a wonderful army! I would love to see pics of painted and even unpainted. It simply doesn't get any better than these figs! Thanks, John |

I couldn't agree more. While I also have a fair amount of the GW LOTR stuff and love it in it's own right, the old sculpts like Heritage (I believe) are hugely under-appreciated. Building the collection has been a labor of love, nay, obsession that started as a sixth grade boy. Heritage was going out of business and all of the minis at my FLGS were on clearance
minis I'd never had a chance to get (due to my limited "salary" at the time). I talked my Dad into letting me take my savings and just about cleaned the store out of Heritage stock. Dad thought I was an idiot, but what are you going to do, right? Over the years, I've picked them up anywhere I could find them and have finally come to the point where I'm investing in fielding rather the building. As things manage to come along, I'll share pics
thanks for being interested. |
