Any updates on Spain in Flames? Does anyone have links if it is finished. English or Spanish links are good for me. Thank you.

In the mean time I've been thinking of AK47 Republic for SCW. Looks like other people beat me to it. Cheers to Martin Rapier for his SCW Ak47 mod.

I have bought yesterday…

Just acknowledged by the owner of Atlantica shop of Madrid that it will be released in Spanish language only, because Battlefront hasn't authorized at a latest minute to have it published in English too --for all those not aware yet, España en Llamas/Spain in Flames is a promising adaption of FoW core rules to the Spanish Civil War background, endeavoured by Warmodelling.

Quite an odd, hard to understand move from Battlefront guys, I must say.

Is it available for purchase and download in PDF yet?

Did Battlefront revoke an earlier authorization. delay in responding to an earlier request for authorization, or was their authorization not requested until recently?

Anyway, I suppose that it is time for me to review my Spanish…

As far as I know, negotiations had started long ago. Perhaps it's just that Battlefront like better reserving to themselves the right to publish in English that supplement, if it proves successful enough in Spanish.

Wish it is so --for, whoever publishing it in the end, it would be profitable for any company digging in SCW period, as we do.

Thank you for the link. I'll wait until it is a PDF or from another seller as the shipping was 25 euros alone. Does it require a Flames of War Rulebook? And if so, which one(s). I am a total newb to Flames of War.

Guess I'll stick to the AK47 republic SCW mod for now. Love AK47 republic :). I think I actually have the first ed rules completely memorized.

That is a real shame. I was so looking forward to the english version and I am yet again sadly disappointed by BF. I should be used to it by now I guess

First of all thanks for the interest in our Spain in Flames Spanish Civil War organizations & wargames reference book. As the book has reference lists for the Flames of War system, before printing anything we have request the permission from Battlefront to publish the book, they reviewed it and kindly they have give us the permission to publish the book in Spanish language.
We have to say that all the Battleground team in UK have give us a very warm support, and we have a very good relationship with them.
We understand and totally agree that Battleground wants to keep his rights of publish any SCW supplement by his own in English or other language.
We want to reiterate the gratitude to Battleground, for his permission to publish the Spanish version of Spain in Flames (with the Flames of War reference), when we start this project, one point that we have very clear is that in the case that Battleground doesn´t give us his permission we haven´t published it. As owner of other very known wargame systems as Napoleon´s Battles, we are the first in be serious and clear with the right of the ownership of the wargames systems.

A sad development! I've beeen waiting and hoping for an English version, but will buy Spanish edition when there is a cheaper option for shipping from UK, US, or digital download as eBook.

I'm afraid I'll have to wait as well.

I believe there was an official PDF version somewhere. Have you asked to Warmodelling guys, or browsed through their website?
