Sorry to hear Keith, don't know how much you need to get back on track, but if you run a kickstarter I will definetly try and help as much as I can to get my little green men :) |

Really, really nice. How many would I have to order to get Pbv 302s? ;) |
GeoffQRF | 02 Jul 2014 4:07 a.m. PST |
This is a test piece for us, following a new procedure, hence we are taking our time. The Pbv302 is in a part-designed stage but we could push it forward quite quickly once we are happy with the mouldability and quality of this one, which could then open up all sorts of corridors.. |
Krieger | 02 Jul 2014 4:25 a.m. PST |
Lovely to hear, hoping that it works out for you! Would love to purchase more swedish steel. |
Mako11 | 17 Jul 2014 2:58 p.m. PST |
Very nice. Need info on pricing and availability, as well as an update on 15mm Swedish troopers to go with them. |
GeoffQRF | 17 Jul 2014 3:09 p.m. PST |
Just waiting for it to arrive. I would think about £5.50 GBP-£6.00 each |
Lion in the Stars | 17 Jul 2014 7:57 p.m. PST |
Excellent! Now if I can just find some employment to buy some shinies… |

Can we have an update on this, the PBV302, BV206 and Armies Army Swedish infantry? I've been waiting to throw money at this far too long. |
Dave Crowell | 07 Oct 2014 6:33 a.m. PST |
I don't do Swedes, and am doing almost all my Moderns in 3mm, but I Want This!! It is a fantastic looking model and an interesting subject. OK, so I may only buy one, and that isn't much to help cover the costs, but it is at least one sold. |
GeoffQRF | 10 Oct 2014 3:20 a.m. PST |
It has been printed… then I got a bit busy. Hoping to get the ZSL-92 printed too and release both together. |

Looking forward to see those too. |

Geoff, Look into my eyes. Into the eyes, not around the eyes. Kanonenjagdpanzers… And you're back in the room. |
Krieger | 20 Oct 2014 4:14 p.m. PST |
Gonna need some Pbv 302's first, no need to buy s-tanks if we´re not allowed infantry support? (Other than the fact that they are super cool!) Thinking of ordering some post-war germans to use as swedes as well, since Armies Army seemed to have some kind of huge problems with his production and I´m getting tired waiting for my toys ;) |
Mako11 | 20 Oct 2014 5:51 p.m. PST |
Given Russian actions of late, might be useful for ultra-modern, if the Swedes are still fielding these…… |
Krieger | 20 Oct 2014 6:06 p.m. PST |
Sorry, it got replaced by the Leo 2 in mid-90's. ASW operations in the swedish archipelago however gives a somewhat retro-vibe, and some things could definetly have sparked a flame: link Got myself some Autosculpt vehicles in preparation of things to come, thanks to MaahisKuningas90s advice. |
Lion in the Stars | 20 Oct 2014 7:08 p.m. PST |
Given Russian actions of late, might be useful for ultra-modern, if the Swedes are still fielding these… That would not go well for the Swedes. The good 125mm APFSDS rounds will dang near do a through-and-through on the S-tank. Apparently, the dart stops in the engine block on it's way out the back of the tank. |
Krieger | 21 Oct 2014 3:07 a.m. PST |
Yeah, the old s-tank didn't age well. As stabilizers got better and the russians managed to build a somewhat stable APFSDS in mid-70's to mid-80's the tank was doomed. The idea of the highly sloped armor was that incoming AP-rounds would deflect, wich worked fine in tests in the 60's. When the wall came down and the Swedes got their hands on a East german T-72M1 it became apparant that was no longer the case. Fighting the cold(er) war instead means that the strv 103 would mainly have to fight T-55 and T-62 tanks. |

Kanonenjagdpanzers Chas keeps telling me this is done – I am waiting for a sample to paint up :-) |
Megaleif | 28 Nov 2014 3:19 p.m. PST |
Frankly Geoff, I'm feeling kind of left hanging. On a ledge. In front of the T-55 hordes of the Polish Naval Infantry. |
MaahisKuningas90 | 29 Nov 2014 6:05 a.m. PST |
Wouldnt those T-55s be mainly facing Strv102/104s? |
Krieger | 30 Nov 2014 1:54 p.m. PST |
That would depend on where the T-55s would be deployed. The northernmost part of sweden was defended by a battalion of 103s (and mainly infantry units) while the rest of the 103s were deployed in Scania, the southernmost part of Sweden, anywhere in between would be defended by centurions. There were about as many 103s as centurions. The poles had plans on landing on the danish island of Bornholm and Scania, securing the straights for the baltic fleet. And would have encountered 103s and an independent battalion of 102Rs. |

I inquired about this a week, or two ago. Supposedly, Chas has it to create a mold, as well as the new/old Cold War British infantry, with SLRs, and helmets. Can't wait for them, and the Pbv 302, and Swedish infantry as well. |
Krieger | 05 Mar 2015 3:43 p.m. PST |
-Really- looking forward to this. Still haven't bought any Soviets to fight, but think I'll wait till I know that the Swedes are a sure thing. |
GeoffQRF | 06 Mar 2015 5:56 a.m. PST |
They have been really up against it recently. You may have noticed some new WW1 kit (if you are on the TSS or QRF newsletters you should have received details!) which now clears the deck for Chas to catch up with the other stuff. Which is good, as I have just added the L2A1 to the Canadians, a range of 12 poses in kevlar helmet with AK47 and am looking at modern Israelis… |

Vulture | 18 Mar 2015 12:23 p.m. PST |
Back in 2012 I got the chance to have a look round the S-Tank in the Shrivenham collection here in the UK. This pic on my Blog shows the thinness of the armour over the engine. A fascinating vehicle which I got to go in. The space inside is cramped to say the least! LOL link Kind regards to all Vulture |

Lion in the Stars | 18 Mar 2015 6:24 p.m. PST |
@49mountain: No, I don't believe so. But they were very effective, competitive with M60 tanks during the various exercises (and I think a Canadian Armour Trophy competition or three). They just look really damn cool and are the iconic piece of equipment for the Swedes during the Cold War. |

A couple of Brittish evaluation reports of the S-tank from 1968 and 1973 can be read at tanks.mod16.org/tag/s-tank Interesting stuff. |
