The first I had seen of these was about a month ago. They looked interesting and most interesting was that they contained a civilian figure, something very much needed and sorely lacking for Infinity games.

I bought one this weekend past.

The set was the Dark Mists set which was the only one that contained two figures for armies that I play. This one had a Yu Jing and an Ariadna figure as well as a comm-tech civilian figure.

The set was about $40 USD for the three figures plus a code to download a scenario.

The figures are very nice and what I have come to expect from the Infinity figure.

The Ariadna figure is a female hacker. She is equipped with a rifle, an assault pistol and a defensive hacking device. She is posed dramatically as if she was hacking away and then was surprised and grabbed up her weapons to shoot back.

All the details are great, the molding was superb. It will be useful to have a hacker in my Ariadna force as they have been somewhat technologically disadvantaged in my games thus far, their most superior piece of tech being either an AP HMG or the camo on the tankhunters.

The Yu Jing figure is a Gui Feng, an intelligence operative. She is also, according to the fluff, a member of the Kempeitai, the secret Japanese secessionist organization.

I don't really use the Infinity fluff in my games so that is mostly irrelevant.

The figure herself is a pretty nice miniature. The details are all well done. She is not posed as dramatically as the Ariadna figure but that isn't a bad thing. The only problem I had in assembly was the left arm which is carrying a combi-rifle/E/Mitter. It was kind of a beast to attach because of how you have to hold it. I was almost about to pin it despite the thinness of it when it finally held.

The Comm Tech is a great figure. Simple to put together and while posed a little more sultrily than I normally associate with IT professionals she will make a very welcome addition to my games, once I get her painted.

The set comes with a bunch of little cards with drawings on them. These do nothing for me and if they were left out and the price lowered by even $.50 USD I would be pleased.

The mission itself is available on line and you have to enter a code to get the PDF emailed to you. It is 8 or so pages and the mission isn't all that great.

For some reason there are communication antenae of two enemy forces built pretty close to each other and your job is to mark them so they can be taken out in an airstrike.

I will probably not play it as written but there are a lot of elements in it that can be incorporated into other scenarios that I've come up with myself.

I'm not really that bothered by the scenario not being great. It does come with stats for the two special character figures introduced, I will probably use them as generic versions of the troop types represented.

Overall I think the set was worth the $40 USD price. You get three great models, their stats and a new scenario to play.

I was on the fence about this one, but no more. I've ordered it. Thanks for the review.
