Finished up some BL infantry, based for Maurice. These are 15/18mm Blue Moon, and they are very easy to paint. Forgot to paint the officer's gorget brass but I will get to that:

Yes, quite impressive. Blue Moon really paint up very well, don't they? How are the Maurice rules working for AWI? Any mods to the rules? |

Y'know, this is my first Maurice unit for AWI but my gaming club refought Brandywine with the rules (I watched the game and offered poor advice). No mods were used, and the battle was a doozy (in a good way). Some sculpts look great as bare lead but are a nightmare to paint, some (Irregular come to mind) look like lead blobs until they get paint slopped on them. The Blue Moon figures look very nice without paint but their contours really lend to easy painting. Seriously some of the easiest sculpts I have painted. |

"HM George would be rightfully proud of that unit, great turnout, I say sir, absolutely splendid, oh! pinch of snuff for you?" You sold me on the Blue Moon minis totally now, seeing them painted up like this. I have being contemplating the Maurice rules (having looked through the lite version) when your lot get a chance any AAR would be appreciated. Again very nicely done. Cheers |
