I could a few more of these cool old fantasy types if I knew what to search for. The weapons were random additions, and I don't know what they originally came with.

Appreciate any help…

This might be wrong and I couldn't find any images anywhere, but they remind me of old Dragontooth Minis – Saurians (S2 – Spearmen with Shields).

Hope that's not a goose chase suggestion…best of luck.

I don't think those are the Saurians, detail is too smooth.

Appreciate the lead, but after looking at the wiki for those figures, I don't think they are from that range. These guys are very large figures (the base in the picture is 1" long), and they are much more detailed and rounded figures than what I see in the Wiki… I would guess they are from the 80's vice 70's as the figures are beyond what you could generally get way back then. Also, they have big fat tails and both figures have fat fur boots.

Again, thanks anyway.

I thought Dragontooth too, but they don't have key details of any DT minis pictured in the illustrations in my 1983 Armory catalog. But those drawings are frequently wrong. I haven't actually seen their saurians/amphibians for many years.

It IS hard to find details on these. I have only a few DT minis, and have always wanted a few more. I have searched for them on eBay from time to time, but rarely turn up much.

Yours minis are right nifty, though!

I have all but the light infantry Saurians and can confirm the pictured figures are not Saurians. They also don't fit in with the DT amphibian range figures I have. I suppose they could be DT special character figures, but I don't see any listing in the various on line Dragontooth catalogs that would fit. While they have the general appearance of DT figures, my opinion is they are not Dragontooth figures.

Thanks again… Here is the reverse side:

These figures were produced by Asgard Miniatures. According to my log I believe the code numbers were FM-29 and FB-28, but my catalogs are buried at the moment.

LaserGrenadier is correct these are left to right
Asgard FM29 Swamp Giant and FM28 Drizzlebringer, King of the Swamp Giants

Cool. Thanks Gents. I will be on the lookout for more of these guys because they were so much fun to paint. And besides, who ever heard of a king with just one minion?
