I bought this miniature 30+ years ago when I was a boy and I was really wondering what make that would be.
Thank you |

That's the Hincliffe logo. |

It is from the Hinchliffe OPC (One Piece Casting) range. These are still available from hinchliffe.co.uk/home.htm However, OPC8 is not. You may have a rarity there. |

Yes it is a Hinchliffe One Piece Cavalry (OPC) but the Hinchliffe listings and my old catalogues do not show an OPC 8. The figure looks like Union Cavalry though. |

It's still available from Hinchliffe, as either part of the ACW signal tower set (EG31), or ACW cavalry horses and minder set (EG50). I got one recently and it's still a nice casting. |

Thank you Gentlemen. I seriously consider buying a fair few of them for the old times sake. |

Yup, even with the logo upside down and the code backwards and also (of course) upside down it is without doubt Hinchliffe and from the One Piece Casting range. |

Hinchliffe has aged well. Well, some of them. |

I just picked up one of each of the old Robin Hood range.. unfortunately the molds have not survived well so it will be a labour of love that may take some time

The Hinchliffe cavalry in Greatcoats and Cloaks are fantastic. Hate painting hussar braid? Field a regiment in foul weather gear :)
etc |
