Remembering Marx WOW Figures

If you were a kid in the 1960s who loved history and toy soldiers, you probably had a WOW figure!

I have just received my box of Steppe Warriors and have assembled a few , and really enjoyed the process with the many options available. They are terrific minis – it is possible to get some great dynamic poses. Well done Fireforge.

Like the Templar and Teutonic infantry they are a little pricey at just under £1.00 GBP per figure. Once the four figures on each sprue have been assembled there are enough spare bits left to put together another four figures (if the legs and torso pieces were there). So, I would suggest to Fireforge putting together a sprue containing a number of leg and torso pieces for sale separately…..I am sure they would sell.

Quite fancy these but then I look at the growing horde of boxed plastic and wonder if I need them……….

I love what they have done but agree that the price is a factor and why a lot of us think twice about buying as you need 2 to 4 boxes of these to get going, then what about the cavalry (remember this is a cavalry strong army, no I think their marketing strategy is a bit wet. So in the end instead of +- 50p a foot and about a £1.00 GBP for a horse, they're going for the gouge ala EE. And in the end I'll buy but maybe a box each and play a semi skirmish game and use them as fillers to much better priced products. Opportunity lost here, I think they believe we all have 100s of € under the bed. Cheers
