I'd love to have a real Sahariana, but no chance of that! I'll have to settle for an approximation of a Schwimmwagen. Take one of those 4seat ATVs, strip all the works off of it and install on a ($10k!) fiberglass Schwimmwagen replica body/chassis, and go to a junkyard to snag a VW Bug VIN plate for registration purposes. Won't be fast, but those 4seat ATVs are about the same size and Gross Vehicle Weight as a Schwimmer. |

I can fake one for $25 USDk, and don't mind the mechanical work. And the last Schwimmer I saw sold for more like $250 USDk. |
