Think list 66 in the french section (france, 1805-1814 ) is incorrect looks very British or Hanoverian to me. Sstill nice sourse made available free to the public, good show. |

People have mentioned the NYPL Digital Collection here on TMP in the past, but I'm not scolding. It's so great, it's worth mentioning again! I must agree with legatushedlius: more information would be useful. It seems that a prior knowledge of a period's soldiers is needed if a person is going to get the most out these illustrations. Someone getting started in Napoleonics would be baffled, for instance. Still, it's nice to see a few familiar illustrations in color on this site, which I've seen reproduced in black and white in other sources, like the Osprey books.
