Very impressive

Those are really nicely done – the piping is much cleaner than I usually manage! Isn't the blue a bit pale though? Or is that the flash washing the colour out a bit?

baxterj30 Dec 2013 2:29 p.m. PST

yes, very nice. Maybe the blue is a bit pale due to the white undercoat?

Again nicely done Patrick.

The wurtemburgers are probably my favourite French allies yet I haven't looked at them yet. What command figures will you be using?
Cheers

What system did you base them for?

Littlearmies30 Dec 2013 3:11 p.m. PST

Actually, if that is a true representation of the blue – what paint did you use? I'm looking for a mid-blue that would suit Spanish wearing the M1805 uniform – I think that might work with an AP dark tone wash.

Yes, its much darker. I used americana acrylic navy blue.
They are mounted on 1" square stands, playing Piquet, Field of Battle 2nd edition. I will be running a game at cold wars. I have a lot of painting to do in the next 10 weeks!

Command, I wasnt sure whether to use French or Austrians…

Thanks for the compliments, I switched from 28mm to 18mm so its taken a bit of adjustment!
