Got a question. I'm planning on using AB miniatures for my CAV for longstreet. The problem is, they have Union command for cavalry, (officer, bugler, flag etc) but they don't have any for CSA. Now, am I missing something in that Rebel cav didn't have flags or buglers? Any help would be nice, thanks guys.

You can use the same command for either.

Unusual for them not to have a CS command code. However, I agree with 79thPA that you can probably use the US for both.

The officer is wearing a slouch hat and is fine for either side. One would prefer guidon and bugler in hats also but the rebs did wear kepis too.

Use the Union officers as Confederates. It doesn't make any difference. My CS regiments are a mix of kepis and slouch hats. I pay no attention to whether the manufacture calls them Union or Confederate. Unless it is a special figure for a particular unit. Like for example the Louisiana Tigers.

I sneak in some slouch and round hats into some of my Union regiments. My western theater Union regiments will always have a few slouch and round hats thrown in.

Rebel flags were probably smaller, but otherwise, what's said above.

Not to change the subject, but how did the cavalry keep their slouch hats on their heads when riding in the wind? At least the kepis have a chinstrap to hold them on!
