"This one's a heartbreaker. First-person shooter/RPG, Star Wars 1313 was one of the casulaties of the LucasArts acquisition by Disney. Though deep into development, it was axed and the dev team was let go. It's a terrible tragedy on a number of levels. Besides the loss of employment for hundreds of staff, the game itself looks (looked?) incredible. The graphics and motion capture appear cinematic--and I say that without an ounce of hyperbole. This would have been a truly immersive action/adventure game with the story points flowing seamlessly into gameplay. While the game won't be released, at least we have this video to see some of the more intriguing concepts that would have been introduced into the Star Wars universe

Although it does look nice I can see why they axed it. It doesn't LOOK like Star Wars. It could be any generic Sci-Fi setting. |

Right. I get more of a Shadowrun vibe or any gritty sci-fi. Good thing they stopped this. |

You are right Pete Melvin. But nice to see not mention SW. Amicalement Armand |

Definitely glad it got the axe. That looks nothing like Star Wars. |

It did get almost references to it in the clone wars series at the end (when Ahsoka went into hiding). She ended up in 1314 at one point. It's one of the sublevels of Coruscant, where the scum of the galaxy gravitate towards. Star Wars isn't about the shiny and bright. The ships are all used and beaten up (unless they are the empire stuff). It had promise, but disney isn't about the dark and scummy. It's about the movies about hookers and stuff (OK, that was Touchstone, but still disney). :D |

That looks nothing like Star Wars. Of course it looks like Star Wars! Just look at the bounty hunter's helmet! OK. It actually looks like Blade runner hit Star Wars at high speed and Blade Runner came out on top. |

A lot of guys are mourning the loss of Twi'lek hookers, I'm sure. |

The sounds right off the bat, the vista, the helmets, the droid, the blasters
If I didn't know this was SW1313, my first reaction would be "Is this some kind of SW game?". Heck I would have loved some SW action outside of the force wielding mayhem that's central to almost all the SW games
