Wondered what people are using to get that cast look on the Saukopf on a StuG III G? I want this look for my PSC 15mm StuG III G. |

Get a jar of Mr Surfacer 1000. It's pretty thick and if you stipple it on with an old brush it makes a pretty good cast texture. |

Thanks RexMcl, I'll give that a try. |

Here are a couple examples. They're just base coated so the texture will show better after dry brushing + a wash but you get the idea. Both are 1/72 so the texture would be coarser in 1/100 but maybe you could just use a finer brush.

That looks great and what I'm after. Also thanks for the tip regarding using a finer brush. Sidenote: was looking at a few images in the AK Camouflage book and I'm going to try and also replicate the Stugs that had concrete as extra armour. Greenstuff base and then either texture the greenstuff or use Mr Surfacer 1000. Once again thank you for your suggestion RexMcL. |

Mr Surfacer 500 also works for filling small cracks or gaps. |

If you cant find Mr Surfacer you can get Tenax Plastic Cement and do the same thing. It kinda melts the plastic to make the effect. |
