"Super service from UK manufacturers and stockists" Topic

Had a bit of a stock up before Christmas and delighted to say that not one of the manufacturers/suppliers let me down:

Gripping Beast – big order over the phone, everything arrived safe and sound, well packaged and within 2 days.
Wargames Foundry – another big order – taking advantage of their bonus pack offer, free postage and the fact their packs are back up to an affordable 7-8 figures. One pack out of the 25 or so wrong, called up and the replacement arrived next day.
Caliver Books – emailed order, spray varnish arrived next day.
Conquest Games – bought a large Norman army, brilliant and quick service, all credit to Mike.
Coat D'Arms – restocked a bunch of triads taking advantage of their postage deal on bigger orders. Arrived with three days, excellent service

All in all – good job. Enough to keep me assumed for a couple of months!

Perry miniatures- All orders arrived promptly and correctly

Front rank miniatures- Dozen orders this year .Even better service as figures ordered individually rather than in packs and every figure correctly accounted for coupled with very fast dispatch to my front door.

And second you on Gripping Beast- Excellent service

I have always found Caliver to be excellent with regards their mail order service.

Navwar are utterly brilliant in my opinion, but I'll third Caliver too.

Irregular have great turnaround as well.

It's always great to hear of good service. I think our hobby is amazingly well served by its suppliers, not just in the UK. That said, over many years. I have found Pendraken absolutely outstanding. Not just in timeliness, but also in willingness to tailor the way they package figures to suit what I actually want, at a reasonable price. And in asking their customers what they want in terms of new figures, and providing them. Oh, and they run the friendliest, and occasionally the funniest, forum!

Two day turnaround for Irregular this week. Ordered Wednesday, Ian called back 5mins later to double check contents, arrived Friday morning.

Minibits – kept me informed when there was a slight delay due to the Xmas rush, and it arrived within 48 hours as promised. Only a small order, as well, so extra kudos for treating all customers with respect.

Also, Ian "feel the steel" Carbutt for a 24-hour turnaround on an order for DBA and FoG steel bases.

Never had a bad experience from the UK. Magister Militum, Tin Soldier, QRS, Black Hat, Heroics and Ros, Xyston, Caliver, North Star, Essex; they've all been fantastic. Wonderful 'enablers' of the hobby!

Early War Miniatures have bee brilliant recently. Really quick delivery and even a note to let me know they had included some extra figures a variants of the ones i had ordered.

I should also add, that I've made several very large orders with Warlord Games, not only has the order arrived brilliantly packaged up, but in double quick time.
Also, BTD (UK), I've ordered from them three times in the past 18 months, all substantial orders (taking advantage of their sales and free postage on large orders), although not quite as fast as some (usually within 10 days), the deliveries have been hassle free.

I too have had good service from the UK this year – Foundry, Front Rank, Perry, Dixon, and Warlord. I was pleased that Foundry re-packaged the Darkest Africa range – picked up a number of packs using the "buy 16 get 22" deal. Also I have been quite pleased with Northstar's packaged armies for the Osprey rules for Ronin and In Her Majesty's Name.

The best purchase has been some buildings from Grand Manner – true works of art!

Pendraken, H&R, Scotia and PSC all give excellent service. The are also excellent figures.

A 'big up' here to Ian at Fighting 15s, who answered an e-mailed query within minutes and got a large order back to me within 36 hours of me placing the order – all on the last weekend before Christmas. Superb service!
