I think that is the best Teddy Bear Fur table mat that I have seen. I will be be following your Blog so I can make something similar. |

that really is a great table. Now I need to look into this Teddy Bear fur because the effect you achieved here is just too good for me to ignore. I have seen used before band it was good/great but was not sure. So you buy a huge sheet of it? is it easy to cut down? did you have to paint it or you found the tan brown to work as is? sorry for the questions but I like this and some fields done this way will enhance my table and if long enough I can count it as some cover. Maybe keep my Ivans alive a little longer to get some close combat going on. and one last one--in USA this would be a Hobby Lobby trip for me? |

i bought this from a fabric store chain up here in Canada. it was a 5'x7' piece, and cost me about 60 bucks(with a 2x2 piece extra as a test bed) I used a set of animal clippers to cut it down, and the rad was cut really close and then burned with a BBQ lighter. the hair is synthetic so it beads when headed, and ends up with something like a sand or dirt texture that you can tehn paint and drybrush. after that i used an airbrush to tint the fields and shorter areas to look like grass. I intend to buy another length(something much longer, like 14 feet) and do one that is not designed for specific buildings or with roads on-table. this one aws designed as a proof of concept, for a specific game at a con last year. i just need to get the money together. |

I really like that road effect
made by burning it with a bbq style lighter? Sounds mildly dangerous :) Looks great though, never would have thought to try that. Chalfant |

Really nice looking terrain. The dirt effect achieved with burning the fake fur looks great. No toxins there, I'm sure! |

Wow! I am inspired! I will be running a 28 mm DH game set in North Africa over the holidays and again at Siege of Augusta. Seeing your table really makes me want to bring my A game in terms of the terrain. Just simply beautiful. |

Possibly one of the most gorgeous WW2 tables I've ever seen. Simply stunning. Not too many figures on the table either. |
