Here's one of my Epic SM Bns using the original SM1 system, which we like better that any of the other GW versions
There is an INF Co.(M), an Armor Co., CBT SPT Co. + BN SPT and HQ/HHC units

We did MTO&Es using SM1 & a little SM2 organization for the Rebel/Traitor SM Bns

[/URL] This MTO&E is a bit unique since all the INF Co. [whether INF or INF SPT] have organic APCs. And is really only a PLT in today's standards. But the BN SPT has a more varied combined arms mix. With an AR PLT, an MLRS PLT, an Assault Gun PLT, a HVY IFV PLT, and an AT PLT
Plus BN HQ/HHC elements

Nicely done! I always liked the way that force building was done in the earlier editions of 40K, especially the detachment cards from Space Marine. It was a big mistake getting rid of those, in my opinion. Actually, that kind of inspires me to draw up detachment cards for the St. Vincent Brigade, for unit data at the company level. Hmm
