Well I love mine and in most battles it functions as a mobile fire base blasting away every turn with as many of its weapons as can be brought to bear and shrugging off the opposing fire.

We play Epic (still!) and as much firepower and armor protection, Super Heavy BTs like that can deal a lot of death. But don't last long on the table as next to Titans they are priority targets … evil grin

I can't see using one in an actual game but I've always wanted the kit just for the fun of building it.

I have two Baneblades, a Shadowsword and a Stormlord and I'm happy to say that I've used them all in Apocalypse games. LOVE my superheavies, great kits, lot of fun to paint. First one was a bear to assemble but subsequent ones got easier (and all of them were easier than the Bleeped texting Stompa lol).

They really only lend themselves to Epic 6mm IMO … In 40K scale more than one or two on a board would be a bit out of place IMO … Unless you were playing on a basketball court or your backyard … evil grin

We played on a triple sized table, 12' x 6' and had roughly 14,000pts a side. It was definitely apocalyptic, and some of the most spectacular looking fun I've had with 40K in quite a while :)

I'd fancy trying an Ogre-like scenario with one Baneblade vs. hordes of low-tech natives… the tank has to make it off the opposite end of the table but it's not a straight run and there are traps/obstacles.

where can you buy stuff to do epic 40k that looks awesome and I really like the scale.

I love that Micro Machines tank on the right!

Brings back memories. I still have my old Epic stuff, although much of it is painted in rather garish schemes. I was younger then.
