excellent thank you for posting.
A version of Ak-47 I didn't think possible. Answers the "How do I…".
Consider the idea borrowed.

Thanks for posting this, Tango01 … I had already started a thread TMP link but sometimes people do miss things.

@ deflatermouse … Yes … AK-47 on ice – it has a sort of Christmasy ring to it, but played along very well. I'm sure there are plenty of snow specific tweaks it would be nice to make to tune it in more authentically. But for a group game with players needing to keep their roles in mind, a pretty simple set of mechanisms that works (and which we can umpire) is very useful …

Any chance of you posing lists and scenario rules?

I will have a look at that, MWright, although much of it was improvised. I have been asked to lokk at running the game again, however … so don't want to give too much away.

If you are familiar with AK-47 (old) basics, the special teams were rated professional which enables them to use the airstrike random outcome in shooting exchanges … this is important in allowing the engagement to escalate. I treated individual 'special forces' bases and standard AK/PBI group bases all just as 'bases' which worked well. The regulars were 'regulars', tanks were standard 'tanks', guns 'guns' etc. etc.

Most of the narrative events were staged to happen to the real time clock rather than game internals – simply to enable us to get the game smoothly into a fun evening (but again, that is starting to give a few things away) …
