Using spaghetti and cotton swabs you can make variable height flight stands for your jets. Details and larger pictures on my blog.

Do you find the spaghetti to be brittle?

Oh no, not at all. Once it's glued inside the plastic tubing, the spaghetti is very well protected. I can't recall ever having one break, but if it does, the cost to replace it is negligible.

Thats a really nifty solution. I'll be using that for my WWII aircraft :)
