I'll see how I like them when they arrive. Never seen any of them in person. I ordered some Centurions and T-54s for starters (AIW). I was going to go with GHQ before I got the idea to order some of these. The price difference alone is a pretty persuasive argument! $6 USD for a GHQ platoon vs. less than $1 USD for a Pico platoon. I like the idea of putting a platoon of 3 AFVs on a base and still having some space between the vehicles. My plan is that the base size be such that it fits in a "Memoir '44" gameboard hex, which is 2.2 inches across, so my base size would be about 1.1" deep x 2" wide. I have seen people use 25mm x 25mm or 30mm x 30mm bases with 3 vehicles on them, but this looks too crowded to me. A 2" frontage may look too sparsely populated with only three models on it though. What do you guys think? |

Yo! Firstly, Picoarmor stuff is awesome. Secondly here are some pics with basing ideas / examples: (just put up on my blog http:..tinyminipeople.com) Here are some Centurions on a 40mm round base:
And my Abrams armored company mounted on mdf Flames of War bases (2"x1.25" i think):
And an ATGM company on actual Flames of War bases:

They are cute! Great for games where the scale is a platoon or more for a base, and I've got a 1:1 (company per side) scale Vietnam project almost done too. |

I'm sure you'll love them. PicoArmor service is great and the miniatures are fantastic! The detail is awesome for such small minis, and they are best en-masse (especially the infantry). You're on the right track with bigger bases IMO. The platoon bases look great with multiple vehicles. I go one step further and go with 100mm frontage company bases for larger scale games. |

Nandalf, that is exactly how I base my own Pico armor. Enmasse like that it looks awesome. |

You can always go totally nuts and mount them all individually too! Here are some examples:
Good luck with your project! |

I wish I had the skill to paint such small figures with such detail. |
