Hi all,
I remember seeing once a picture of a Polish uhlan from the Russo-Polish war. He was dressed almost like a German uhlan with the what looked a czapka. His uniform was grey with a red trim. Anyone have any pics they could share of Polish cavalry from this conflict? I am trying to build a Polish army for the period.
Thanks

I do this war in 15mm with Peter Pig figs and actually the Polish cavalry dressed in all kinds of uniforms. Some might have had the czapka, others a fieldcap, and uniform styles could be German, Austro-Hungarian, Russian.
Try this one:

pygmy-wars.50megs.com

That website is a treasure trove of info on not just that war but several others. The gentleman who made the site also is a fairly regular poster on TMP so he may well see this and give you some more info.

I am also using Peter pig figures. I am very familiar with the pygmy wars site. It is superb. I just wish I had some pics of the cavalry, especially the uniformed ones.

Anyone got any pictures of the Polish cavalry they could share? I am especially looking for lancer regiments at the start of the war.
Thanks.
