I love the intermixing with redcoats! Nice look. Your casuatly markers are gorgeous. Once I get a chance to buy a few packs (both for the Scots and the TYW), I hope to copy your fantastic work! Brilliant!

Roy – inspirational work. Really.

What are your current thoughts on rules? I have fought Auldearn in 28mm with a few different rulesets and have yet to find one that ticks all the boxes for me. e.g. link

The close-ups are instructive, from the exemplary application of the madder red down to the colours you have used on straps and scabbards. Also my resolve to do a unit with black pikes is settled.

Seeing these makes me happy to be the owner of something of a Perry lead mountain! If only Perry would do some personality figures and pike at advance.

Thanks guys – much appreciated – more on way.

Dave – we've not played it yet – we're kicking around some ideas to make it competitive but still have some of the flavor of the battle – we'll be using Black Powder and will have a write up of our thoughts on the blog.

Calidore – madder red is great – almost paints it's self! – don't worry about the personality figures – have a look back on the blog and you'll see some command stands using Perry figures – whose to say they don't look like Baillie – got a few more coming soon – don't be afraid to mix it up as well – Eureka and Warlord are about the same scale and they do some nice command.

cheers

Roy
