Paul, nice work!!! To bad that we cannot get these figures anymore! I wish Glenn would sell the molds or start COMPANION ALL OVER AGAIN!!!!, Mike Adams

Caliban22 Nov 2013 9:21 a.m. PST

Yes, it would be great to see them back in full production!

altfritz22 Nov 2013 10:59 a.m. PST

Didn't Aventine get some of the moulds? (Spartacus…)

Constructive use of WGF Numidians. Is that a Minifig Chicken standard in one of the warbands?

Great job on the warbands.

Very nice brush work here!

Caliban23 Nov 2013 4:05 a.m. PST

Wow, Garry that was well spotted! It is indeed a chicken standard, but by 1st Corps. The Celts would probably claim it's a rooster, but I say Battle Chickens for ever!

Thanks for looking, everyone.

Stunning units Paul, that must have taken ages…(i'm half way through Celts and it's taken 12 months!) beautiful figures mate!

Caliban23 Nov 2013 11:46 a.m. PST

Good luck, Marcus, please let us see them when done. I must admit that the idea of painting a full Celtic army now terrifies me! I think my next projects will be nice, simple things like Romans, Numidians or Germans. Definitely no checked patterns for me for a while…these took me three months, and only half of the figures have patterned cloaks.

I think I'll take a break now and paint some slingers and javelinmen. Nice soothing off-whites should do the trick.

Just to let you know that I am doing a limited run of Spanish units at 32 infantry or 12 cavalry for £30.00 GBP plus postage. Available now are Caesarian roman infantry and cavalry, Spanish, the whole range including many that were never released including celtiberians, chainmail, leather armour and loads of different armoured and unarmoured cavalry. Numidian foot and cavalry. Punic wars Romans due in 2 weeks, advance orders taken now.
Contact me directly to discuss on victoriousarmies@gmail.com.
Napoleonics due imminently.

Fantastic, that is great news, Glenn. There will be several people here who will be interested. I'll buy some from you at one point too – once I paint all my Caesarean Romans, that is. I'm especially interested in the Punic Wars Romans – I'll soon have enough of those for half a consular army, and then I'll need to buy some to make up the other half. I'm thinking of using them for Camillans.

Thanks again!
Paul
