So, over at The Week's Work I have managed to post up pictures of a 25,000 point Apocalypse 40K game, the Lamenters that I've painted up recently, and some more Space Marines I'm doing for a friend.

Have a look! Tell me what you think! :)

That's a lot of minis on the table, Impressive lot of painted minis, I like the board as well. Your painting on the snipers is nice effective winter camo . I'd personally prefer to play epic 40k in those massive battles it just looks more but less if you now what I mean.

Impressive! I noticed that you say you deployed 48" apart, any particular reason for that? I must admit I haven't looked closely at the new Apocalypse book but I'm pretty sure in the previous one you used to start 24" apart.

Yes, the lack of ability for tunnelers to assault after emerging from the ground makes them pretty useless in this edition, they just get shot to pieces before they can actually do anything. I haven't used my Raveners for a long time now.

@doublesix66 – thanks! The huge battles are just fun events really. An excuse to use everything. Epic 40K is great for battalion/brigade scale stuff, but when you just want to go nuts it has to be Apocalypse. ;)

@Redroom – yeh, that's what the White Dwarf staff said too…

@Bob Runnicles – basically an error on my part. I'm not a Tyranid player and figured 48" would provide more maneuver room etc. Actually all it did was create a killing ground. Should've fought across the table, rather than up its length, and deployed everything rather than Deep Striking the 'stealers and stuff. They might've done something other than die, then!
