Gentlefolk, My local library has a copy of all three volumes of "Lord of the Rings" (UNabridged) from Recorded Books that I am listening too. Of COURSE
I get to the first CD of the "Return of the King" and some stupid with a flare gun managed to crack the CD about a third of the way through from one of the outer edge; hence me being unable to listen to what would amount to approx. 30 pages or so of narrative. I contacted the library, but due to budget cuts, the department which used to take care of such problems is no longer in existence. By any chance, would anyone have a copy of that CD, in good condition where you can copy it (or send it for me to do so) so I can listen to the entire book while driving (just started V1, so no real rush). I'll be happy to reimburse for mailing to my address and of course, return postage too. Thanks in advance for any and all assistance, Andrew Also
the library does not have an audio copy, in any format, of the Hobbit. Before I go out and by a copy for the holidays
does someone have a copy I could borrow? |

Can you not download both for a small amount and then burn them to CDs? I Googled "lord of the rings audio book" and one result was in the UK for £3.99 GBP, so I imagine the cost isn't high through most download sites. Or, does your library do free audio book downloads? Ours does. It's worth having your own copies of these! |

Sue et al, I found a duplicate copy of The Two Towers within the library system and ordered it, odds are the messed up disk is not messed up on the new version. Also snagged The Hobbit on CD too! Thanks |
