I am putting together a more realistic stoneage skirmish game, and am looking for some cromagnon figures that are less pulpy and more accurate to match these figures (the neanderthal from Acheson) well:

Any suggestions? I keep finding cro magnon, but they seem a little heavy on the Hollywood/pulp perspective.

What about Copplestone? link

The Copplestone cavemen also look very Hollywood. At the time Cro-Magnon and Neanderthal met, Europe was still cold and those areas not covered by glaciers consisted of a vast 'mammoth steppe.'

It's highly likely that the Cromags wore clothing made from hides that were sewn together using bone needles that are frequently found in their sites. Some have been reconstructed showing clothes similar to Inuit parka, trousers, mukluks, etc.
Weapons were more geared toward missiles like atlatls, while the Neanderthals used a heavier thrusting spear.

Yeah, Copplestone are nice figures, but not quite what I was looking for. To me they are definitely more in the pulpy/Hollywood image.

I may use them, along with a lot of green stuff to clothe them if I can't find anything else, but was hoping there was something I missed. The neanderthals from Acheson are very authentic looking, clothed fully, and posed much less heroically, which is kind of what I am after.
