Hi all,
With the completion of the 2nd battalion KGL, I now have three of the four line battalions that formed a key part of Wellington's 1st Division throughout the majority of the Peninsular War.

This unit is composed of figures from the new range from Xan with an AB command base. If you would like to know more, then just follow the link to JJ's

They look great.

You do a really nice job on the bases as well.

I'm never satisfied with my basing.

Hi Edwulf,
Thanks mate. If it's any help, I have posted a basing tutorial when I did my Portuguese Dragoons. If you haven't seen it check out the labels for tutorials or Portuguese on the blog.

All the ingredients and process are explained.

Hope that helps

Fantastic painting and those Xan minis look really nice. I am tempted to get some British every time you post, but I really need to concentrate on the Austrians I'm working on, though they're nowhere near your standard of painting.

Very nice. Do you make your own flags or purchase them?

Nicely done. I too would like to know where the flags are from!

Greystreak09 Nov 2013 10:38 a.m. PST

The flags are clearly identified as GMB Designs on Jonathan's blog. grin

Thanks guys for the kind comments.

The flags are from GMB Designs

I really can't say much more about how great I think these flags are. They can really make a unit. All the products I use are linked to on the blog.

Hey EB I get tempted with Austrians. The 1809 campaign is on my list to do before I die. Don't beat yourself up on the painting. Firstly you are painting, and there are plenty that struggle with that, and secondly I think we are all on the learning curve, and I see some great stuff that I look at in awe and then go back to trying to get better. Anything I can do is simply down to others who have kindly shared their ideas and techniques, and I am happy to do the same. Keep working with all that white!!
