But, their appropriately dressed! Where's the chain mail bikinis?

jpattern208 Nov 2013 12:58 p.m. PST

Very nkice!

Man, I'd have killed for those back in the '80s.

There are tons of "appropriately dressed" female figures out there. Have been for decades. Reaper, Ral Partha, Grenadier, Dark Horse.

I love Otherworld's minis, especially their characters. They actually look like, you know, *people*, not super-exaggerated omni-heroes.

I have, but they put me in my place. frown

Those are great to see. Realistic proportions, realistic poses, realistic outfits, realistic faces, realistic weapons (mostly)… great stuff. I particularly like the very sensibly dressed clerk (though her flail/morningstar is too big; I'd like to see her with a smaller, better proportioned mace or staff.

Those are really fantastic and I say this every time but, damn… the paint jobs on those brings a tear to my eye. I can paint some minis but that particular style/look isn't something I've been able to accomplish. Hats off to whoever painted those.

I know what's gonna be showing up on MY painting table on my next birthday!

They're nice.
I much prefer the realistic look for rpg.
And yes, pity they weren't around 30 years back when I "did" rpg of that sort.

50 quid for 12 miniatures – things have changed a lot since the 80s.

I have a collection of 70's and eighties female figures, all well proportioned and in good poses. I find the Otherworld male adventurers too cartoony, both facially and in body dimensions.

For example Otherworlds cleric

and Citadels better proportioned and posed cleric (on the right)

Or take the fighters

Citadels

And yes AONeil, they were a damn site cheaper.
