This will be a series of three booklets covering each Confederate Corps at Gettysburg, the flags shown are useful for at least the latter part of 1863 and probably in many cases early 1864.

Although the 3rd Bunting Issue dominates there are enough variances along with more individual colours (especially in Ewell's Corps, coming soon)which will ensure your troops stand out.

You won't find a plethora of State colours as Confederate regiments only generally carried one flag, despite all those flag sheets. Only a handful out of the whole army flew these at Gettysburg, along with 1st Nationals, presentation colours and the odd flag from as early as 1861/2.

Pop over to the Wargame Vault and have a look, let your Rebs fight under the correct banners.

Nice little .pdf and some useful OOB and background too. Can't wait for the following two.

Thanks, I suspect Ewell's will be ready by next week, it really is interesting for its flag content. I have all the flags for Hill but have yet to do the write ups, could be late December for that one.

I hope that you will announce them here too. Otherwise I might miss them.

Thanks for the link.

I'm just returning to ACW after a long absence, so forgive the ignorance of my question:

Are there any definitive sources on the UNIFORMS worn by Confederate troops at this level of specificity? I've seen a lot of general info, but nothing specific as to what individual regiments were wearing.

Thanks.

Ewell's Corps is now available at Wargame Vault.

Got it, thanks.

I was also wondering how well your scenario books would transfer to 'Longstreet' rules?

Old Guy02 Dec 2013 9:11 p.m. PST

I know nothing about Longstreet I'm afraid. I still use Johnny Reb II for my ACW gaming.

The booklets however give ground scale and the regimental information is general enough to be easily converted to any rule set. Again, like our flags, we have striven to give the most accurate information on weapons, organisation and numbers.

Like our flag books, I believe these are simply the best set of booklets you will find on the subject, but then I would say that, wouldn't I :)

Thanks.

I picked up the first two flag books… they are really well done! Any idea when the third book will be available?:)

Again any idea when the third book will be available?

The flags and layout are all done for Hill's Corps, unfortunately I have had no time to start the write ups on the brigades yet.

I had planned to bring the booklet out this month, but I suspect April is more realistic.

If there is anything particular about Hill's Corps you need for your miniatures PM me.

Thank you! Looking forward to the new release!
