That's a really cool concept and execution, thanks for sharing this. I'd be in if I hadn't just dropped a load on Dwarven Forge. |
Chilledenuff | 31 Oct 2013 5:30 a.m. PST |
yeah, I missed the dwarven forge ks
no funds when they were up on KS so at least I have this to fall back on. They also very kindly ask on feedback about what people would like to see in the future too. My wishlist is very long though :D |

Very cool, but I haven't started my Bug Hunt Corridors yet. |

Hi Guys, Thanks, indiviually and collectively, for your support for Infinite Crypt! I didn't know anything about "theminiaturespage.com", until I saw you on the Kickstarter referrer tracking. You have been MORE SIGNIFICANT THAN GOOGLE as a way for Infinite Crypt to mobilise support. Congratulations! (Presumably TMP organisers will shortly be issuing shares, carrying vast amounts of advertising, making fortunes and promptly retiring?) Just as a bit of feedback on comments so far: * We've design Infinite Crypt to be fully compatible with Dwarven Forge, TerraClips and more. * We're based in Sheffield, UK – so if you're up for supporting a (tiny) British alternative to the terrain giants, that'd be fantastic! * Now we've passed our very modest funding goal, we still have 6 days to run. * Judging by current trends, we have a good shot at hitting "Scale Bonus +1" which will allow us to buy a second laser cutter – reducing our production costs significantly. Let's turn it up to eleven! * We've undertaken to plough ALL extra resource from stretch goals into more laser cutters, materials and postage – thus reducing production costs. If we can run several lasers in parallel, we'll be able to produce more in less time. * We'd love to work with terrain crafters and local games shops. Our plan is to ONLY supply flatpacks by post. This should give a great opportunity for terrain crafters to add value, assembling and painting for resale locally. * Laser cutting gives us the opportunity to produce new elements to order very quickly. Our larger objective is to produce "Terrain on Demand". Imagine if you could email us your ideas for dungeon or scenario elements, we could then design and produce them at a sensible price, and add your element idea to an ever-growing catalog. No need for expensive moulds. * Infinite Crypt is designed to be customised to taste. We aren't doing any etching – IC is about shape, not texture. You decide how you want to paint it – with a neutral, generic dungeon schema, or with the details that appeal! Thanks again! All the best, James |

It is very tempting to get a bunch of those hinged doorways for my chibi dungeons
But curse the UK (and the US too) for raising international postage so high, grrrrr. I'll have to hang on and see if there's room in the budget after I recover from Impact Miniature's Chibi Adventurers KS which wraps up tomorrow. |

James, would a Dungeon Doors Set be possible? Just doorways to go with dungeon tiles or any custom 3D set-up? Say for instance: 4 Plain Doors 2 Dungeon Doors 2 Secret Doors 1 Cage Door 1 Portcullis I'm pretty well set for rooms and 3D elements with a very large stack of wooden cradle boxes acquired from craft shops to use for modular rooms. Here's some with a Warhammer Quest Portal. Your hinged doorways are the best I've seen by far, and it would be great to get a pack of them! (budget battles pending of course ^,^)

Hi MiniMo, Thanks for your kind words about our dungeon doors – they are kinda cute! I shall make it so. A "Dungeon Doors" set is go! As a note, please check the international postage costs – even for the highest tiers of backing, postage never costs more than £20.00 GBP Flatpacking is a key element to help us reduce postage costs. Of course, with just one set, this represents a significant proportion of the price. Here's an idea
How about getting together a bunch of local friends (your gaming buddies spring to mind
) and pitch in together to get a higher tier reward as a single package. It'll save you money on unit cost AND postage – and we'd rather post out fewer, larger parcels if we can. All the best, James |

Thanks James -- already got started on trying to find local suspects for that idea previously. Veteran postage-sharer here. Sayyyy, books are flat things made out of trees too, isn't this just like printed material ~,^ |

Quite tempted to back this. Hmm .. how many sets though ?? |
Chilledenuff | 03 Nov 2013 9:43 a.m. PST |
I went for 8. That gets me 80 unless they get another £4.00 GBPk each in which case I'll get 88 :) |

This picture gives a good feel for the stuff..
The creator (James Wallbank) has said the elements were very quickly painted and photographed with a camera phone, as the stairs were only completed on Sunday |
