I can't believe it, but the painting is DONE.
Well, for this project anyway. More on my blog: link |

Instead of 1d6, just roll 2. That and your idea of more space should fix it. Looked like fun. |

I can't believe it, but the painting is DONE. Careful – that is tempting fate. Well, for this project anyway. Good thing you qualified that earlier statement. Looked at your blog – what an effort. Hope you get more than one game out of that lot:) |

Good thing you qualified that earlier statement. Oh, I have an ample supply of unpainted lead. I'm not crazy, after all! Instead of 1d6, just roll 2. I considered that, but 2d6 is a bell curve rather than straight odds, so it might throw off the concept, as the roll "favors" 6-8 units entering, while the single die approach doesn't favor any amount. But the scenario rather expects you'll have everyone on in less than 8 turns, so
gonna have to think about it. |

First of all, congratulations on completing a big paint job. Nice work. Feels good, doesn't it? Excellent AAR with pics of the battle too. |

Looks great! I bought that cover painting from the artist for my wargames room – a sort of memento of the project. I should say we had a lot of help from Ken South on that one too – Ken always played with way more models than we were able to put in the box! I also used the project to launch the plastic scenery – those hills – and my intent was to add more pieces to make different shapes, long ridges, and so on. The designs were based on my own wargames set-up – but slightly smaller because the hill section moulds had to fit inside the biggest plastic injection machines we had! |

I bought that cover painting from the artist for my wargames room What a great piece of art to have. It's a terrific cover (which is why I kept hold of both boxes). But every time I look at it, I get a kick from two figures in the lower right foreground, an orc and a man, who could almost be both taking a breather and discussing life in general: "Gorbash! Long time, no battle!" "Good to see you, Tom! How are the wife and kids?" "Oh, a little singed from the dragon, but fine. Suzie's already got plans for her new kitchen. How about your brood?" "Little hellions running everywhere— but I don't have to tell you that!" (Chuckles all around.) "Oh well, back to the old grind. *Ahem* HAVE AT THE, VILE SPAWN OF DARKNESS!" "I"LL FEAST ON YOUR CARCASS, PIG SLAVE!"

Very inspirational! I need to finish painting my set.I started it several years ago,and had added some of the Copplestone figures, but stopped,as my attention was grabbed by the Oooh, shiney! syndrome. |
