Does anybody sell a 25-28mm sweeper gun as depicted in the Space 1889/Cloudships of Mars games? Same question about the light guns. I found something fairly similar to the light guns in the rule books for sale through Old Glory. Can't find anything in the sweeper gun category. Thanks. |

Space:1889 sweepers are basically age of sail swivel guns. You should be able to source those fairly easily from hobby shops catering for model boat builders. Likewise for ship fittings such as ships' wheels, portholes and vents. In relation to muzzle loading cannon in general, don't overlook the War of Spanish Succession artillery kit from Wargames Factory: link Two cannon (four barrels) with various ammunition and crew equipment for $20 USD, even if you aren't using the crew as such. And a fairly decent horse. The gun carriage is very suitable for a Martian field gun – for a ship mounting you'd need to make up a more naval carriage (i.e. using one of the spare barrels). |
