Some larger minis for my 1/72-scale cheap fantasy minis project (good, not great, minis on a budget!).

More info, pics, plus a sort of review/tutorial on using Future Floor Finish as a wash/sealant. Enjoy!

Comments posted on your blog. I would highly recommend DM Scotty's forum, which has several posting lines regarding alternatives for less expensive mini's: some are toys mod'ed into gaming mini's, others are scratch-built, and another thread details still more inexpensive alternatives. Great stuff, IMO (YMMV). Cheers!

Thanks Sgt.! I've encounter DM Scotty's before; he and his community showcase some pretty cool stuff. Along similar homespun/crafty lines are the folks at Irrational Number Line Games (who sometimes post here).

What material did the Minwax eat away at? I've used it on resins, metals, and several plastic types, without issue -- that I know of, as of today… Cheers!

You may remember this thread. "Eat away" was a strong way of putting it, but the Minwax reacted chemically with certain sorts of plastic figures, creating a tacky, shiny surface to them.

Sorry, I thought you meant that the solvents dissolved the plastic materials. Anyway, did a second coat of Future eliminate the tackiness altogether? You never commented on that, except to say that the first coat almost eliminated the tackiness. Cheers!

I forwent the second coat and hit everything with some Dullcoat, which seems to have worked out just fine! Really, the second coat would have been to cover any spots I missed the first time, but the Dullcoat seems to have taken care of it.
