On September 29, I placed an order with Renegade Miniatures for 2 packs of French Marines. I heard no word of shipping or anything so I contacted them on Oct. 16 to ask if I could have an update on my order. I received no reply so I contacted them again yesterday and informed them that if I do not hear from them in 24 hours, I will be disputing the PayPal charges.

I can understand a company being busy but not taking my money and then not even having the decency to reply to me or keep me informed about my order? Really ticks me off.

yep, no excuse for that.

Last time I ordered from them it took about a month for the figures to arrive here in the US.

They weren't good on communication but the figures all arrived in what I considered a reasonable amount of time. I've never heard of anyone ever being ripped off by them.

In the end you really want the figures more than you want your money back right? You still have a week before the 30 days is up for a PayPal dispute.

Not sure what's happening with them. They have some great minis but seem a tad cautious on communication. They were emant to be doing things with the Kev Adams Orcs but that seems to have fizzled out.

You have 45 days to dispute something on PayPal. The seller can make things right Tin. If they contact me and tell me my figures are on the way, I will rescind my dispute obviously. But I do not want them telling me, "Oh, we're shipping them soon."

A company like Pendraken made and shipped an entire Confederate Army from the UK to me in 2 weeks. AND they replied to my emails. That is what everyone should expect from a company.

Jim

By any chance are you using an outlook, hotmail or AOL email address? If so you might like to check your spam folder.

The reason is these services have particularly savage spam filters and mark many regular emails as spam.

Nope. I am using Gmail.

OK Jim but worth checking. I suppose the only thing left is a phone call.

Yea, I am not paying to call England. If anyone in England wants to try their number, they are welcome.

PraetorianHistorian, I have ordered from Renegade in the past and though a little slow always deliver. I think most people who are a supplier in this hobby tend do it at night or weekends / end of the desk scenario, hence punctuality tends to be hit and miss affair. I'm due to give them a call soon about their WW1 range of figs so if you want me to discuss your concern with them, please PM me, thanks.

My latest order with Renegade was in May 2013. From order placement to USA receipt was 16 days. Looking back though older orders, two weeks seems to be about average delivery for me. Quite right about email response; sluggish at best.

hopeless, cocked up my last order some years ago and ignored every attempt at contact, I live near to them and went round several times, never in, left a note pinned to the door………nothing, haven't bothered with them since.

That's really pathetic Dave. Does Britain have a version of the Better Business Bureau?

Trading Standards. If you can get them interested in the workings of a cottage industry, then truly you are the Messiah.

Expecting a DH for blasphemy… :-)

Any word from Renegade?
I placed order on 9th October and have been trying to contact them but no response?
Really nice figures but really poor customer service.
Only takes a minute to reply to an email.

Mitch K30 Oct 2013 11:50 a.m. PST

I've ordered from Renegade several times. They are, frankly, dog-slow. They state "allow 28 days for delivery" or something like that, and whatever it is they tell you to allow, THAT is what they will deliver to. Where delivery is concerned, the idea of "underpromise and overdeliver" is something Renegade do not seem to espouse.

Finally got a response:

"Hi,
Please accept our sincere apologies for all the delays and for us not being able to dispatch your order.
Unfortunately we cannot currently fulfill any orders and therefore have refunded your order in full.
We hope this hasn't caused too much of an inconvenience and we thank you for all your patience with us.
Kind Regards
Renegade"
